In this last Verktøykassen before the summer, we will present three different data-based creative tools: TouchDesigner, Vuo and openFrameworks. TouchDesigner and Vuo are visual exhibition platforms, while in openFrameworks you code with C ++. With these tools you can, for example, create and change video and animation in real time, create interactive user experiences or make visualization for music.

This Verktøykassen will be about LED lights and Arduino. Connecting one LED light to an Arduino is not very difficult, but what if you want to connect to 50 lights or LED strips? We will look at what type of Arduino accessories, how much power is needed and how to connect everything to make this happen.

In this Verktøykassen we will be looking into video synchronization; when two or more videos are playing synchronously on separate screens or projectors. Course leader Stian Remvik will present various methods with different software and hardware, and look closer at the advantages and disadvantages of the different methods.

If you want to create something interactive for a screen (TV, computer screen, mobile, tray, VR), Unity is a good option. Inputs can be game controllers, keyboard and mouse, motion sensors, etc.
