March 11th BEK will present an evening event at gallery KNIPSU in Bergen. The first edition of Rad is a presentation, installation, lecture and concert. Participants are Ellen Røed, Espen Sommer Eide, Maia Urstad, Steinar Bøyum, Anne Marthe Dyvi, Hans Knut Sveen and Knipsu Soundsystem.
Bjørnar Habbestad, Pascal Baltazar and Benjamin Maumus invites you to an artist talk at WRAP Thursday 24. In connection with the Unruhige Raüme consert in Hakonshallen at the Borealis Festival, their rehearsal period at Wrap this week gives a perfect opportunity to share questions concerning their musical research.
Marieke Verbiesen, who works as system administrator at BEK, is currently on a 3-month artist-in-residency in New York. She also use the opportunity to hold a video- and animation workshop in Calgary, Canada.
Ricardo del Pozo will attend The New Zealand Electroacoustic Music Symposium (NZEMS) 2010. His presentation will focus on his latest work “adaptation/volume”, and the use of Jamoma as a tool for artistic expression. NZEMS is hosted by The University of Auckland and takes place from 1. – 3. September.
BEK has coproduced an experimental animated videoclip by Marieke Verbiesen that combines various forms of animation.
This week Loadbang is doing an excursion to Bergen kunsthall where Ricardo del Pozo will talk about his sound installation adaptation/volume, part of the ongoing master exhibition.
loadbang is a collaboration between BEK and KHIB.
Video- and installation artist Adriana Alves will present herself and her work at HKS, April 13th at 19.00
María Andueza Olmedo, currently a guest researcher at BEK, will give a lecture on her PhD research. The lecture is part of the workshop Sound in Space conducted by Trond Lossius and Nils Peters.
