In this exhibition, both artists evoke – in very distinct approaches – the power within objects. With special focus on their ‘performative’ or symbolic features we are invited to question the object’s autonomy throughout installation and film works.

Three artists from Sotra wanted to offer their local community a slightly different exhibition. Søkjar: Heim is an exhibition in Luftskipet (the airship) at Straume featuring Kari Bugge Gjerstad, Odd Gjerstad, Håkon Holm-Olsen, Trond Lossius & Jeremy Welsh, Heidi Kårtveit, Geir Opdal, Gro Lygre Petersen and Linda Soh Trengereid.

Nocturnes is an audiovisual project in two parts with the French artist duo Les Baltazars. Newly developed technology produces fog, light, wind and sound to create your own imaginary adventures. The project is a collaboration between BIT-Teatergarasjen, Lydgalleriet and BEK . Performances at Studio USF Friday 27. at 19 and 21. Installation at Lydgalleriet from Monday 30. – Thursday 3.
At Friday December 11th 2015 at Landmark in Bergen we will serve a program of concerts, videos, animations, net art, light art, performances and noise. Something from the archives, but mostly in the form of freshly squeezed contemporary juice. Accompanied by refreshments, speeches and conversations we want you to join us through a full night in honour of BEK, art, artists, art production and audiences for 15 years.
WELCOME TO LOKALT 2015
Three generations and a total of 27 artists opens a group exhibition in the old jail in the middle of Bergen city center the 25th of September 2015 at 19.00h. This is not intended as a homogeneous exhibition, but an attempt to show the contemporary local art scene in Bergen.
Marieke Verbiesen´s Mayhem Machine will be showed at the Incubate Festival in Tilburg – from 14-22nd of september at Incubate´s DIY Synth Fair.
Røster III takes the listener on an aural journey through a series of sound tableauxs carefully sculptured and arranged by the artist’s archive of field recordings from the Røst Arcipelago, in Lofoten, Northern Norway between 2010 and 2015.
The End(s) of Electronic Literature Conference will take place August 5-7, 2015, and is hosted by the Electronic Literature Research Group at the University of Bergen. Pre-conference workshops will take place on August 4th. BEK supports the conference with equipment.
