Without waiting for her reply continues Apichaya Wanthiang’s investigation into the themes of memory, experience, and the spatiotemporal conditions that define them. During a nocturnal exhibition, the visitor is guided through, and immersed in a narrative landscape, where isolated individuals relate to each other in a newly established continuum.

Just about everything we surround ourselves with has been in a container at some point. The exhibition CARGO examines questions of communication across borders by land and by sea, the distribution of goods and benefits, access to resources and consumption and transport routes. It relates these themes to the schoolroom or classroom, a place where worldviews are made and knowledge is imparted to those who are to further develop society and democracy.
During a period of two months Anders Elsrud Hultgreen has been working and developing Evighetens Avkom, a video commisioned by BEK. This video has recently been shown for the first time at Stavanger Screen City, and now Anders will present his process and the work to us. The presentation will take place on 14.02 from 12h – 13h. We will serve soup! Welcome!
Yamamoto has been developing several projects in the course of the past months: BEK has supported the projects with equipment.
From 23 – 29 September, Nina Barnett and Robyn Nesbitt travelled to Utsira, a small island on the west coast of Norway. While staying in the old lighthouse keepers house, next to the lighthouse, Nina and Robyn looked closely at the landscape, the history and the community of the island – collecting their findings in written texts, video, sound recordings and material samples of the island’s topography.
