In conjunction with PNCA’s Boundary Crossings, the July interdisciplinary institute on animated arts, the Feldman Gallery & Project Space presents the exhibition Intermation. For this exhibition Marieke Verbiesen & Håvard Pedersen will show the interactive installation “Plan 10” coproduced by BEK.

The Håkon’s Hall is a remarkable building with a long history. The site-specific sound installation “Lines converging at a distance” by Trond Lossius is a commission for the 750 year anniversary in 2011. The ambient spatial soundscape invites the audience to experience the hall at a slower pace, and possibly sit down and contemplate the qualities of the combined space and sound.

Norwegian Academy of Music is pleased to invite you to the viva voce of research fellow Victoria Johnson on Tuesday 21 June 1100 in the Levin Hall. Electric violin in digital space is the title of the research project, whose main focus has been to create new music and improvisations in collaboration with various composers.

The 11th of June BEK arrange the second edition of the Rad series in Våge, Kvinnherad. The event takes place in the composer Knut Vaage´s cabin. The cabin is a place where Knut Vaage compose his music, and have space for thought. In Rad#2 we have invited a selection of musicians/artists to improvise together, present a reading of Ragnvald Vaages poetry and serve food.

Saturday 4th at 14:00 there will be an artist talk by Sachiko Hayashi at BEK. Sachiko was Artist in Residency at USF Verftet in 2010. Now she’s back in Bergen, so please, welcome to C. Sundtsgt. 55, 8. floor for an interesting hour. Sunday 5th Sachiko plays with MASH at Landmark.
